storefronts a pleasing colonial blue. Remodeling of the facade
continues at the Landmark Group's building on Commercial
Street. Once can now enjoy lunch or dinner on the remodeled
front porch of the Livonia Inn.
Jim
Brunner has been sprucing up the entryway of his book shop on
Railroad Avenue; improvements include new doors and windows.
The Book Shop is open Saturday & Sunday, 1-5 pm,

Twisters
takes up residence at 13 Commercial Street. The ice cream shop,
owned by Hemlock residents Jeff & Lois Helwig, has attracted
quite a following. Twisters offers sugar-free and fat-free ice
cream, Italian ices, frozen custards, hard ice cream in a variety
of flavors and an assortment of snacks. The shop is open 7 days
a week.
The
Garden Gate Florist and Gifts has moved from 13 Commercial
Street to the old mill on the corner of 30 Commercial Street.
Owner Dawn Landon appreciates her new location - there's plenty
of space to showcase home decor items (many of which are made
by her husband Steve). Dawn makes beautiful floral arrangements
- think of her for weddings and other special occasions or just
treat yourself and stop in for a bouquet.
