On Main Street, Fingerlakes Flooring, Barden Homes & the James A. Sullivan Insurance Agency have painted their storefronts a pleasing colonial blue. Remodeling of the facade continues at the Landmark Group's building on Commercial Street. Once can now enjoy lunch or dinner on the remodeled front porch of the Livonia Inn.

Twisters takes up residence at 13 Commercial Street. The ice cream shop, owned by Hemlock residents Jeff & Lois Helwig, has attracted quite a following. Twisters offers sugar-free and fat-free ice cream, Italian ices, frozen custards, hard ice cream in a variety of flavors and an assortment of snacks. The shop is open 7 days a week.

The Garden Gate Florist and Gifts has moved from 13 Commercial Street to the old mill on the corner of 30 Commercial Street. Owner Dawn Landon appreciates her new location - there's plenty of space to showcase home decor items (many of which are made by her husband Steve). Dawn makes beautiful floral arrangements - think of her for weddings and other special occasions or just treat yourself and stop in for a bouquet.

Curves of Livonia, fitness club for women, is located on the lower level of the old mill. Call 346-0920 for membership information. You can visit their website at: www.curvesoflivonia.com
